Grappelli Camp was first held in Holland in August 2010 as a gathering of gypsy jazz violinists and guitarists wishing to improve. With a teaching staff of 6 and a maximum of 45 participants, it has become a popular Summer course on the European gypsy jazz scene that sells out early in the year. Grappelli Camp lasts 4 days and features guest clinics, individual coaching, a teachers’ concert and jam sessions, with participants from all over the world.
The camp is open to those who can play the violin, guitar or bass at intermediate or advanced level, and have some previous experience with improvisation.
